Alex Lindsey Jones: If She Knew
Likeable Radio rock from Australia: Newcomer Alex Lindsey Jones should be well received by Bon Jovi fans, due to his unique voice.
A singer who wants to be successful needs one thing for certain - namely a voice that is unique and recognizable. Alex Lindsey Jones definitely fills this criteria.
His voice already proves itself as unmistakable from the opening line of "Your Love is Amazing". Resemblances to Bon Jovi cannot be denied, however the distinctive "hottie" factor is a little more striking in Alex.
There are other parallels to be drawn between the known colleague and Alex, in that Alex also steers towards rock songs with "well behaved" lyrics. Soft rock with a light country edge may sound somewhat reproachful; however it hits the spot really well. His style will at no time become painful or gaudy. Despite the mother-in-law compatibility his titles have mass appeal. This is partially due to the authentic live character of the songs, as well as the well arranged guitar work. ("Come Back Real Soon" and "Real Thing"). Above all Alex proves his wonderful feel for melodies that are not quickly forgotten. ("When You're Gone", "Saint", "Hold The Hand").
By the way the Australian has financed his debut Album completely out of his own pocket. This ambitious musician has been working on his career since he was a teenager. A few years ago he toured as the front man for the band "Falling Down" in Great Britain.
Back in his homeland Alex now wants to star as a Solo Artist, and has made a promising beginning with "If She Knew".
Jon Bon Jovi should dress warmly - or at best go into early retirement!
Result: Cool voice and catchy songs!
