Youtube vs Our Video Player - whats the difference?

Using the talentcake player:
Pros
Cons
- No screen shot of videos in multime
dia, only play button - You need to convert files into flv format
Using youtube:
Pros
- Screen shot in multimedia page with play button
- Quickest way to add a video you already have online
Cons
- Player is grey, regardless of colour settings
- Video does not automatically play on the home page
- Visitors can not view video in full screen
- Looks less professional
Hopefully this has given you some things to consider when adding videos to your talentcake site. With the pro's and con's laid out, my recommendation is to use the talentcake player for the video you intend to put on your home page, and use youtube for the rest (if you already have them online, this is the quickest option).

We used the player in talentcake so that it plays automatically, which is perfect for our site.
We also registered shefestival.com and pointed it to our talentcake site for our advertising
