26 Year old Kate Cook made her public debut in 2009 on the reality TV Talent Show "Australian Idol". Dubbed the abattoir working country girl, Kate soon had the judges speechless after her heartfelt rendition of a song she wrote for her mother, who passed away by suicide just 2 days before Kate's 17th birthday.
It didn't take long for Australia to warm to the country girl as she sailed her way into the top 6 position. Throughout the weeks Kate remained in the competition, she proved that she was a formidable contender. Her likeability on stage and her unique husky tones soon won her the favour of judges and fans alike.
Her single "Make You Stay" was released in February of this year and is currently playing on Country Music Radio Australia wide. The video clip to accompany her debut single was shot across five different locations over two days and the outcome is epic... It's quite an emotionally charged clip.
The Video Clip has been playing on RAGE and the Country Music Channel since its release.
Kate has been busy writing and performing since she left Australian Idol, and is looking forward to releasing an album full of original music by the end of this year.
Make You Stay available for download via iTunes or purchase via Minta Entertainment.
Kate is loaded with talent, committed with determination and driven by heart.
