The Rock-Itt is written by locals for locals, our writers are from different backgrounds but they're all passionate about the Northern Beaches lifestyle and all bring a unique edge to the magazine.

Pete Johnson: Publisher/Editor

The Rock-itt was created by Pete Johnson in 2003 and has grown from a 4 page black and white magazine to a 60 page full colour gloss magazine. Pete's endless energy and passion for his beloved people of the Northern Beaches, along with his strong links with the music industry lead him to create The Rock-itt.

Pete's aim was to help the struggling local bands to gain recognition for their talent, hard work and dedication to music. This has grown into giving all local people a chance to become part of a non-profit community magazine, which celebrates the achievements, and talents of individuals, groups and teams.
